My Proudest "Achievements"
My time has been split between a couple of things happening at a go: planning of new projects for the Rotaract Club of Temasek (we're doing a large scale fashion show in aid of a charitable organisation), organising a second running of our very well-recieved dating workshop, The Total Get Hitch System with good buddy TY, and bringing up new leaders from within my Network Marketing organisation.
Yet amidst all these, let me present to you my proudest "achievements" in the last 1 month.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Christina Lee and Stephanie Leong, 2 leaders in my group whom I have been working with very closely over the last 3 month. In that photo that you see, the 2 of them were recognised for their amazing achievements.
Stephanie is a 20 year old girl I met at a Christmas Bazaar where my team and I had a little booth. But Stephanie was no ordinary 20-year-old: she was hearing and speech impaired. Yet the irony was that Stephanie loved to talk! She likes communicating with people however way she can. She told me that being hearing impaired, it's difficult for her to find a job that pays well, and she would love very much to one day make enough money to support both her parents, who are now retired after a successful business career. I was touched by her earnest determination and decided to take her in my wing.
And so, Stephanie became our "Businesswoman Extraordinaire": she certainly wasn't "ordinary", and she's lived up to her extraordinary namesake! Over her first 3 month in her business alone, she, with the support of her mother, Margaret, and Father, retired businessman Yee Hong, chalked up over US$3000 of business volume, way faster than most other people did in half a year, and she continues to wow people this way even right now.
Stephanie is a living example of how anyone can do what they set their mind to, and even moreso if they've not been inflicted with any disabilities. In a truly touching display of strength and an I'll-do-it-my-way attitude, Stephanie, knowing well that most people would not have understood her, insisted on reading a little speech she prepared on paper.
She later clarified that the message in her speech was something along the lines of "The going will get even tougher, but I will continue to do my best".
Christina has been with me for almost a year now. When I first met her, she was very, very shy, and it was odd that she would have joined a Network Marketing organisation that required her to mingle around with people. But deep in this lady was a burning determination.
The going hasn't been easy for her. She has been, at times, cruelly rejected by friends and strangers alike; one of her best friends even told her that her dreams to be better off financially was nothing more than money-grubbing greed, which I thought was quite uncalled for.
Yet despite all that, I've never heard Christina talk about giving up. Certainly, she's talked about how difficult it all was, but she's never once hinted about letting go of her dreams. She just kept going, slowly but surely.
They say "A smooth sea never made a strong sailor", and in this case Christina's strength has finally been showcased! By track record, Christina's had one or two active customers in her group. But in the month of March, she's managed to activate 5 people in her personal group, that enabled her to increase her earnings by almost 300%! Perseverance do pay, folks, as Christina can testify to that!
It's people like them that makes my business so wonderful. Christina and Stephanie, I'm proud to be associated with you 2 :) Good job!
