If you think you're born into mediocrity, and being 'special' is someone else's god-given priviledge, think again:

" And every Master has likewise had the same message: What I am, you are. What I can do, you can do. These things, and more, shall you also do. "
- God, from the bestselling book Conversations with God

Finding Beans

During a workshop I held for Suzie and William, who were among the 2 most self-motivated new members in my group, I shared with them what I called "The Story of the Beans". This was the story about finding the right person to join us in business, and it goes like this:

Imagine that someone came up to you with a huge sack of black beans, and said: "in this sack of black beans, there are 5 red beans. Find these red beans for me, and I will give you a million dollars."

And so, for the sake of a million dollars, you resolve to find the 5 red beans buried within the sack of black ones. After all, to find 5 silly beans for a million dollars, how hard can it be? This ought to be the easiest one million dollars you would ever make!

So, how would you actually begin doing it?

Most people would start scooping up black beans by the handful, and see if the red beans are among them. If they're not, they discard their handful of beans and start searching their next handful of beans. And they keep scooping beans, handful after handful, until they find their 5 red beans, even if it means emptying the sack of beans very quickly :)

Yet in Network Marketing (and for many other things as well), here's what alot of people doing: they very carefully pick up one random bean from the sack, and HOPE with all their might that they've got a red one. When they realise they've got a black one, they either get so heartbroken and give up altogether, or they go into denial and try their best to convince the black bean that its really a red bean!

A black bean is really just that: a black bean. And all we can do when we encounter one is to put them aside, and continue finding the red ones that we want so badly.

We all meet black beans in our lives everyday. If you're in Network Marketing, you'll find them in prospects who tells you a thousand reason why MLM won't work for them; if you're looking for a girlfriend or boyfriend, you'll find them when someone turns down a date with you. We must all learn to let go of the black beans in our life, in order to find that red bean that we want.

Someone then asked me: how can you ensure that we'll find our red beans in the next 12 months? And I tell them, I can't promise you that. Yet, I promise you that there will be red beans out there in the world, waiting specially to be found by you. The faster you sift through the black ones, the faster you'll find them.

So don't pick those beans cautiously one-by-one. Start scooping! Bring on the black beans, then toss them aside! You'll find those red beans when you act boldly and never give up.

How many black beans will you encounter today, to find your red beans tomorrow? :)

Haha, you're really funny man :) Yes, thanks, I had fun at your blog.

If you like green beans, the same applies: there's bound to be yellow beans or something lying around just getting in your way!
