Business Builder's Club III Recognition: Amidst the Home of the FreeMasons!
31st July, 2006 - Here at Unicity, we had our third round of Business Builder's Club recognition, and this is where we had it: At the Masonic Lodge in Singapore, Hill Street! This is indeed quite an interesting change from the usual dinners at Ritz-Carlton Hotel, considering the fact that the Masonic Lodge, home of the Freemasons, is often surrounded with secrecy and mystery.
The Freemasons are a fraternity organisation who believes in a unique system of metaphysics and morality veiled in allegory and symbol. No longer a secret society, Freemasons have claimed that Freemasonry today is more like a "society with secrets".
Instead of a masonry initiation ritual, we had instead a recognition dinner at a restaurant in the Freemason's lodge, and as usual, I had alot of fun! This was like being invited to a dinner in a museum; there were just so many things to see! However, more fun than being invited to a fancy dinner, or being recognised (once again) as a leading Business Builder of Unicity, I am in truth more thrilled by the fact that this round, I am accompanied by 2 of my favorite business associates from my team: Christina Lee, and Stephanie Leong :) There's nothing like succeeding with your team mates trailing not far behind!
Congratulations goes out to the 2 of you:
To Christina, who has worked very hard to enjoy this recognition. Even up to the final week of the BBC qualifier, she had 5 people short of being in the BBC, a staggering feat, yet she didn't give up. She continued working even up till the last day, last hour, where she had me hold up the office an hour after it's closing time at 10pm, and had me running frenzied into the office, with her last application form at hand, and a bleeding lip to boot. Haha! Talk about a never say die attitude, eh? ;) Well Done, Chris!
And to Stephanie, for continuing to be an example of how, with a strong spirit and the right assistance from people who cared for you, anything can be done, despite any handicaps! Everyone is constantly amazed by you, including fellow associate Rupert, who tells me in the washroom about how inspired he was by you!
Amidst dinner, I came across a really interesting poster on the wall:

It says: Lets End All the Discontent: Elect a MASON President!
Haha! I loved that! But rather than being President, Mr Freemasons, why not consider being Presidential Diamond for Unicity? Then we'll really end all the discontent, and Make Life Better for as many people as we touch!
